Happy Birthday to me!

I hit the big 3-0 today with a bang. Go me! :-)

Jer is taking me to a fancy-schmancy restaurant tonight, No 9 Park. I'm all excited! I've read about it in Boston Magazine but I never actually thought I'd go to it. I love birthdays!

This weekend Jer has mystery stuff planned. I know my sister is coming up from Baltimore, and that I"m supposed to keep the weekend free. But the rest is going to be a surprise...

Yesterday, I finallly used the gift certificate Jer gave me at Valentine's Day for a day at the Andrew Michael's Spa in Salem. Oh. My. God. It was amaaaazing. I went with my buddy Liza, and we had a day of pampering. First I had a cranberry salt exfoliating rub and was placed under six hot water jets to be rinsed off....ahh. Then I had the most amazing massage of my life - she got every single knot created by the AIDSRide - bliss! After that, we had a wonderful lunch brought into us, and we dished and giggled while trying not to disturb the other folks close by (too much). There's something about being in such a fancy place that brought out the raunchier side of conversation ;-) - we're such bad girls. After lunch, I had a wonderful facial. Everyone there was so nice - I had booked the date while in the car for the AIDSRide, and the receptionist, Kathy, was so sweet - she gave me a hug and a congratulations and told us she was thinking about how we were doing during the weekend. Pampering plus nice people = perfect day of luxury.
